Friberg’s Yellowstone work is so idyllically Western that it makes you just want to up sticks, sever ties and live in the shadow of mountains. What an utter waste of time this pursuit of an idealistic metropolitan life is. Society be dammed, look at that scenery and imagine the peace and quiet, the sheer wide open bliss.
Yes indeed. I just finished reading The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac and now I want to go travel to mountains, preferably in North America, but seeing that it won’t happen anytime soon, Spain will do for now.
